ARMPOCKET - Review and Giveaway

I was fortunate enough to test drive the Sport i-20 from ARMPOCKET.  The picture above is everything that would be on the treadmill with me at the gym.  Well if you were at the gym with me, you would also see a towel and a water bottle.  But,  I wouldn't cram those into an armband.  It was never really a big deal at the gym because there are lockers and actually quite a bit of room on the treadmills for the luggage that I pack with me.  Then I started doing a lot more of my running outdoors.  The armband I was using did the trick but it constantly slipped, wasn't the right fit for my phone, was flimsy and would get drenched with sweat and I would have to wipe my phone or i-pod after my run.  I didn't have room for anything else.  I always carry my debit card with me when I run and I would have to cram it in there behind my phone.  I would use it as sort of a sweat barrier.  Ridiculous... But hey, I made it work!

 I realize that it is not practical to carry a key ring that large with you on a run.  But the point is, that if I wanted to, with ARMPOCKET, I could.  It fit in there perfectly and zipped seamlessly.  On an average day, I would just take off my house key and leave the rest.  Some days I leave the keys behind entirely and exit through the garage.  That just leaves me more room to stick random things in there.  It's a lot like a purse...  the larger it is, the more things I will find to fill it with.

Let's talk features!

 The Sport i-20 fits most smartphones even with their cases.  I have an iphone 4 with a pretty thick case and it fit perfectly.  It will fit most models of mp3 players, keys, credit cards, lip balm, cash, a small puppy.  Okay, not really.  I was just making sure you are still paying attention.

 ARMPOCKET does not take a "one size fits all" approach to their design.  Each model comes in 2 different strap sizes.  This is great if you have tiny T-rex arms or if you are going to wear it to the "Gun Show"  It also comes in 8 different colors. 

 ARMPOCKET comes with a vented strap which is great for added breathability.  (Is that a real word?  Let's just call it less arm sweat)

 The back is made with a non-slip memory foam, natural bamboo rayon fabric and is wonderfully moisture wicking. 

 The only thing that didn't work for me was that the audio port is at the bottom of the band.  I have and i-phone 4 and until the recent release of i-phone 5, the audio port is on the top.  I realize that I could feed it through the bottom but even doing so, the top cannot zip around the jack.  This did not affect things at all.  But for a rainy day run, this takes away from the water resistant feature.

I love the ARMPOCKET.  Now that I own one, I can't imagine running without it.  Here is what I was the most impressed with.  It stayed put over my clothes and on my bare arm.  It is moisture wicking and actually lives up to that claim.  It has so much room without seeming overly bulky or large.  In the picture above, I actually have my phone and my ipod in there.  I had music on my ipod that I didn't want to take the time to transfer to my phone.  I just wanted to get running. But I also wanted to take my phone with me for safety.  They both fit perfectly.  It wasn't even snug.  Overall I give Arm Pocket a big thumbs up!  I highly recommend it.
